1. The type of personal information we collect

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

  • Email address that you provide to us for the purpose of registering interest about The GBV for Accelerator Prevention and Our Future Is Fearless (and any future) campaigns.
  • Information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website including your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views.
  • Any other information that you choose to send to us when you email us at codirectors@preventgbv.org to raise interest about becoming one of our partners.

2. How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Contact Details (email address) – as necessary for contacting you in delivery of The GBV for Accelerator Prevention and Our Future Is Fearless (and any future) campaign & community updates
  • Contact Details (email address) and other information that you provide to us when you email us at codirectors@preventgbv.org to raise interest about becoming one of our partners.
    We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

    • Technical Data – collected as you interact with our website, and used to develop an understanding of what users’ interests are, to help with the targeting of our web pages and campaign communications and advertisements.

Where you submit personal information for publication on our website, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the license you grant to us.

Apart from set out in this policy, we will not sell, rent or share your personal data with third party organisations. However we may disclose your information to external suppliers and partners to provide certain services. All partners and suppliers will be screened to ensure they comply with legislation and where required data processing and confidentiality agreements will be in place.

We use the information that you have given us in order to contact you in delivery of The GBV for Accelerator Prevention and Our Future Is Fearless (and any future) campaign & community updates. This may include contacting you for marketing purposes in relation to campaigns you have shown an interest in or about how to partner with us. Such data could also be used to compile user profiles used in the context of future campaigns.

Typically, this will include where you have provided information to us in the course of engaging with our campaign.

It will also include where you have given us consent to send marketing information to you or have consented to the installation of cookies that might collect Technical data on your device. We will generally only collect Sensitive Personal Data with your explicit consent, whether this consent is collected by The Accelerator for GBV Prevention or our third party partners.

4. Where we store your personal data

Your personal data will be stored on our systems within the European Economic Area (EEA).

We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis. We restrict access to your personal information to those who need to know that information to provide services to you. In addition, we train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information.

We may share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes outlined above. This could include for storage purposes, for the administration of relevant contracts, to ensure that this information is used to target appropriate advertisements to you, and for our legal obligations. Such third parties could include:

  • Our partners, for whom we conduct campaigns for, and who act as joint controllers with The Accelerator for GBV Prevention over personal data used for campaign purposes.
  • Third party advertising providers, including those operating websites.
  • Service providers, IT and system administration services.
